Pain . . .

Matthew is experiencing a lot of pain. He wakes up saying, "Owie, Owie" and "I wanna go home". He has a lot of mucous in his throat and we try to get him to cough. He tries so hard but it really hurts. If you could see the face he makes it would break your heart. Our nurse this evening has been amazing. She is right there as soon as he moves checking to see if he needs medication and what she can do to make him comfortable. We are so blessed with some amazing nurses and doctors.

By the way, the new Children's Hospital is wonderful. I get to sleep in his room tonight with a sleeper sofa and I have my own bathroom :)!!!! Craig is staying in one of the guest rooms they have for parents. This will allow us to take turns comforting Matthew tonight.

Thanks for all your prayers. We have no doubt that Matthew pulled through because of them. God wrapped his arms around us today and pulled us through just like he promises. Continue to pray and we will update in the morning. Sorry no picture yet. I didn't want to wake him with the flash and it's dark in here. Good night.
