Surgery Is Off . . . Again . . .

We took Matthew to see the surgeon, Dr. Fortuna, today. He was not comfortable with Matthew's cough and raspy voice. When they place a person on bypass it takes their immune system down. He would have no way of fighting this viral infection. There would be a great chance that he would remain on the ventilator and it would cause a series of complications. Dr. Fortuna said that he was not comfortable taking him into surgery like this. We prayed for God to give our surgeon wisdom and we believe that is what He did. We have peace that this is the right thing. As soon as the surgeon said he is not comfortable taking him to surgery, say no more, that is enough reason for us!!

We have been rescheduled for next Tuesday. I asked if they sell a bubble we can put him in. This has been such a crazy summer trying to get this surgery done. It needs to be in God's timing so we are going to sit back and quit stressing about it. There is a reason for all of this and we have no doubt that this is in God's hands. Hey this gives us another week to pray!! Thanks for all of your prayers, please keep them coming.
