Life is Great . . .

We've had a lack of updates due to life getting back to normal and things are going great!! I am starting to fall into a routine with work and Matthew is doing great at the babysitter's. In fact, he is becoming so attached to Nana that he doesn't like her to leave the room. It's good to know that I'm leaving him with somebody who loves him and whom he loves.

Thanks for all your prayers within the past few crazy weeks. We finally have everything cleaned up (we had to throw all of our basement carpet out) but we just laugh when we think back on it.

Matthew saw Dr. Fortuna, cardiac surgeon, last week and he released him from his care. Yippee - that means one less doctor's appointment. Matthew's blood pressure was too high so we have to stop the weaning of one of his medications. His blood pressure has been such a puzzle to the doctor's. They can't explain why it gets so high. Dr. Fortuna thinks this time it may be due to weaning his Chlonidine too quickly. We're hoping this is the case. At the appointment, he told me that Matthew's 2nd surgery and recovery can only be described as phenomenal. Wow - can you believe that? God definitely answered our prayers.

We can't put into words how well Matthew is doing. He is a very happy baby and has a wonderful personality. And I know we are his parents but he is such a cute baby too. He is starting to move all over and is development lots of coordination and we have signs of his first tooth coming through.

One last thing, please continue to pray for Matthew's weight gain. He is not a good eater and is too comfortable with just eating 2 ounces and stopping. Getting him to take his whole bottle is sometimes a lot of work. He has been gaining but slowly. We increased the his formula to a 27 calorie mixture and we're hoping this will make a difference.

In all, we feel that things couldn't be better and we are really counting our blessings!

When I saw Matthew last weekend he kept wanting to kick me. Since he was laying on the floor I think he was trying to use my arm to trun himself over.
Tell Taylor I think Jesus may be sending her some stickers. Tell her to watch her mail.
