Hi Everyone
Last night Matthew developed a fever that resulted in him getting admitted to the hospital today. The fever reached 104.7 degrees this afternoon. At this point, they are strongly suspecting that Matthew has contracted the H1N1 virus. Thankfully, blood tests have ruled out endocarditis (a bacterial infection of the heart lining) and a throat swab has ruled out strep throat. They placed Matthew in isolation tonight and medical staff coming in the room are required to wear protective gowns and face masks. They've also started giving him Tamiflu to help stop the spread of the flu virus in his body.
Please keep Matthew and Amy in your prayers. Two years of constant worry for Matthew is really taking a toll on her emotionally.
We'll update again Friday morning.

Craig and Amy-
I was just thinking of Matthew the other day and that he will be close to getting his Fontan. I have been following your blog since his last visit. I'm praying for a quick recovery and for strength for him and your family.
